Managing Director

Javier joined Galdana in 2016, after working 9 years in Investment Banking. In this time he became Vice-President of the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team at HSBC Bank in London. As the first Spanish member of the department, Javier took part in building up the ECM franchise in Spain.

In this period, Javier worked on deals, bookrun by HSBC, worth +€10 billion, including the Aena and Saeta Yield IPOs, Abengoa, Telefónica and Banco Popular follow-ons and ACS/Iberdrola, Acciona and Telefónica/Telecom Italia convertible bonds. Outside Spain, he has worked on IPOs in the United States (Abengoa Yield), France (Tarkett) and United Kingdom (Crest Nicholson), as well as follow-ons in Denmark (Vestas) and Germany (Nordex).

Previously, he worked in the ECM and M&A departments of Banco Santander.

Javier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Deusto in Bilbao and the CFA designation.
